May 5, 2009 - Received a telephone call from Pastor Mark Junkin, Zion Lutheran Church, Vassar, KS. He was asking about what bulletins and document to send to the District Archives. They had not sent any in over the years.

I told him that we would like bulletins for special occasions, such as, installations of called workers, dedication of new facilities, etc. I told him we would also like pictorial directories. If newer additions covered everything covered in earlier additions, they did not need to send copies of earlier additions.

He said that they had a very old history book of the church and needed binding. I will check and get back with him about who can bind older books.

May 7, 2009 - Returned a call to Zion, indicating that I had called the State Historical Society and they suggested that Topeka Blueprint was reasonably price and did good work. The lady at the Historical Society suggested that they may want to scan the sheets rather then rebind them. It would probably be necessary to trim off the old binding to get to stronger paper away from where the old binding was located to rebind. This could possibly result in trimming some the information from the sheets.
