Al Coleman

8/8/2011 – Al Coleman, member of the Property & Grounds committee at Immanuel called the District Office, seeking information. A note was given to me to call him.

Mr. Coleman indicated that he needed information about the adjustment made in the original plans for the construction of the church. There had been some problems with the substructure and changes had been made. The church was originally built by the District as the KU Lutheran Student Center and later Immanual had closed their building at another location and took over the Center. They were now want to make some improvements and fix some settling problems and cracks. He wanted me to check to see if the District had the documents that showed the changes that were made and any correspondence relating to these changes.

Since this didn't really fit in with the Archives as it was envisioned, I called Deb Crites and told her what he was looking for. She would check the files including the business records, if they existed, to see if anything is available and call me back.

8/15/2011 -- I received an email from Deb Crites today indicating that they have no record in the District Office about  construction of the Student Center. He was disappointed but thanked me for checking.
