Reverend Keith Kohlmeier

 

Rev. Keith Kohlmeier

President Kohlmeier was born and raised at Linn, Kansas, where he attended Immanuel and Zion Lutheran schools and Linn Rural High School. He is a graduate of St. John's College, Winfield, and Concordia Senior College, Ft. Wayne. Pastor Kohlmeier attended Concordia Seminary at Springfield, IL., and received his Master of Divinity Degree from Concordia Seminary, Ft. Wayne, IN. He served his vicarage at Mt. Olive Lutheran in Des Moines, IA. He has previously served as Pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Farnhamville, IA., as Senior Pastor of First English Lutheran Church at Spencer, Iowa and Ascension Lutheran Church, Wichita, Kansas. Most recently he has served 3 terms (9 years) as President of the Kansas District.

 President Kohlmeier has served on Circuit, District and Synodical boards. He has served as Pastoral Advisor for the District Lutheran Laymen's League, Vice President of the District, Circuit Counselor, Chairman of the District Youth Committee, member of the Board of Directors of Iowa District West and Kansas District,

 as well as many other District and Synod appointments. He is also a member of the Board of Regents of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He and his wife, Marlene (also from Linn and childhood sweetheart), were married in 1972 and have 3 children, Jacob, Jeremy and his wife Cori, and Emily and her husband, Steven. They have four wonderful grandchildren, Christopher, Ava, Addie and Henry. Marlene is a Registered Nurse and is employed as school nurse for the Seaman School District. .
