However, I was really shocked that only one person got my joke last week. Over 80 senior citizens from across the state got it last week at Wichita. Should I try it again sometime?

THE CLUB SANDWICH…generation is when a caregiver finds themselves providing care to one or both of their parents, and one of their own children and one or more of their grandkids, ALL at the same time.  One of the organization available to help with this situation or to give assistance to senior citizens is called “Seniors Helping Seniors.”  Some of the services a senior can contract for are: companionship, yard work, house maintenance, meal preparation and transportation.  Stephanie Moore, owner of the local franchise provided, us with great information!

VITAMIN D…update will be the topic of this weeks guest speaker, Dr. Marvin Wilson. Forecast is temp will be in the mid-90’s sooo during this cold snap please join us for lunch. Remember we all talk about you especially if you aren’t there.

 A new member application was seen being given to Art Lancaster’s wife, she also split the ticket pot: everybodys a WINNER –Freeman Vicory’s badge number was but we got no answer. Nancy Foster’s name was called from the attendance list. When last seen he was unwrapping her Crunch candy bar.

DR. MARVIN WILSON...explained the physical benefits for all of us by our taking the “Sunshine Drug – Vitamin D.” It fights many forms of cancer, helps to lower high blood pressure and helps reduce total overall body fat.  These benefits are just a few of the many healthful aspects of Vitamin D.  

MIDLAND CARE… will be the topic of our speaker this week.

 “BUCK O’NEAL”…was a great baseball player for the old Kansas City Monarchs. After his retirement he was a goodwill spokesman for the K.C Royals and a standout in community service for Kansas City.  After his death the K.C. Royals established the Buck O’Neal stadium baseball seat, where during every home game someone is selected to sit in the seat.  WELL, I am extremely pleased to announce that our very own Ted Heim has been selected to occupy the honored seat sometime in the near future.  Hey Ted! OUTSTANDING and be sure to bring back to us some popcorn and Cracker Jacks!

Ticket winner was Junior Elder. The badge of Robert Telthorst was called. Sorry Bob was not in attendance. Misty won the candy bar for attendance.
