CASSODAY HIGH SCHOOL REUNION MINUTES
June 16, 2000
The 2000 Cassoday High School Reunion was held at the
Cassoday Community Center. The
evening began with a social time with coffee, tea, and nuts for refreshments.
That was followed by the banquet which was catered by the Cassoday Café.
The meal consisted of smothered steak, green beans with caramelized
onion, herbed new potatoes, salad, cobbler, and tea and coffee.
The tables were decorated with black and orange streamers and black and
orange confetti with “2000” sprinkled on the tables.
A longhorn picture with a sign saying “Welcome Cassoday High School” was
in the window.
The business meeting was opened
by President Calvin Hinde. Calvin
indicated Clinton Hoy died this morning, and we should remember the Hoy Family
in our prayers. Calvin had a roll
call of classes. Calvin read a list
of names and asked if anyone knew anything about these persons.
Bob Diller received the ribbon for being the oldest alum in attendance,
and Larry Patton received the ribbon for being the youngest alum in attendance.
Sid Gates received the ribbon for coming the most distance.
The minutes of the 1998
Cassoday High School Reunion were read and approved.
The treasurer’s report was read and approved.
Calvin asked if we want to
continue having the reunion. The
consensus was that we want to continue having the reunion.
David Goering asked if it was
possible for anyone wanting to get a list of graduates to send a self-addressed
stamped envelope to Karlea and she will send them.
Karlea said she could do this.
Calvin asked for nominations
for officers. Larry Patton moved
that the same slate of officers serving currently be nominated.
Those people and their office are as follows:
Calvin Hinde, President; Robert Harsh, Vice-President; Karlea (Rohmeyer)
Landman, Secretary-Treasurer. Earl
Strong seconded the motion. Motion
carried.
The meeting was adjourned by
President, Calvin Hinde.
