CASSODAY HIGH SCHOOL REUNION MINUTES

June 16, 2000

The 2000 Cassoday High School Reunion was held at the Cassoday Community Center.  The evening began with a social time with coffee, tea, and nuts for refreshments.  That was followed by the banquet which was catered by the Cassoday Café.  The meal consisted of smothered steak, green beans with caramelized onion, herbed new potatoes, salad, cobbler, and tea and coffee.  The tables were decorated with black and orange streamers and black and orange confetti with “2000” sprinkled on the tables.  A longhorn picture with a sign saying “Welcome Cassoday High School” was in the window.

The business meeting was opened by President Calvin Hinde.  Calvin indicated Clinton Hoy died this morning, and we should remember the Hoy Family in our prayers.  Calvin had a roll call of classes.  Calvin read a list of names and asked if anyone knew anything about these persons.  Bob Diller received the ribbon for being the oldest alum in attendance, and Larry Patton received the ribbon for being the youngest alum in attendance.  Sid Gates received the ribbon for coming the most distance.

The minutes of the 1998 Cassoday High School Reunion were read and approved.  The treasurer’s report was read and approved.

Calvin asked if we want to continue having the reunion.  The consensus was that we want to continue having the reunion.

David Goering asked if it was possible for anyone wanting to get a list of graduates to send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Karlea and she will send them.  Karlea said she could do this.

Calvin asked for nominations for officers.  Larry Patton moved that the same slate of officers serving currently be nominated.  Those people and their office are as follows:  Calvin Hinde, President; Robert Harsh, Vice-President; Karlea (Rohmeyer) Landman, Secretary-Treasurer.  Earl Strong seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned by President, Calvin Hinde.

                                                                                    Respectfully submitted,
